This is a permanent radar speed fixture that provides a clear signal to the driver to check their current speed. Standard model is a 2 digit display but a 3rd digit is optional to display Km/H. The approach only radar only picks up oncoming traffic. This unit comes with two flashing caution beacons to grab the attention of traffic that they are in a school zone. The extreme speed setting also allows the unit to grab the attention of the driver by use of other visual display(s) while not showing the acutal speed. An automatic brightness feature gives the sign a more legible viewing distance both day and night while conserving valuable stored energy. School districts have reported success in using the pole mounted speed detection to reduce the speed of trafic.
